In this semester, we will develop a project about saving animals. This project, in collaboration with Kurtaran Ev - a well-known rescue shelter based in Istanbul, Türkiye - , aims to create an innovative platform for adopting animals in rescue shelters by utilizing image recognition, automated matching algorithms, artificial intelligence, and a user-friendly interface. By addressing challenges in existing systems, such as inefficient matching processes and lack of comprehensive animal profiles, the platform uses a more technological and automated approach. This seeks to offer an efficient solution that enhances the adoption process. The platform will streamline the process of matching animals with potential adopters. It will also provide detailed animal profiles, including health records, behavioral traits, and personalized care recommendations. This makes it easier for new owners to understand their pets' needs. Additionally, the platform will incorporate a chatbot that allows for ongoing support after adoption, including training and veterinary care advice. These elements are designed to help foster a supportive environment for both the animals and their new owners. The goal is to ensure that both animals and their new owners experience a strong bond and seamless integration, resulting in long-lasting adoptions and a reduction in returned adoptions, along with a higher satisfaction rate.
